Welcome to Kes Creations.

I started painting about 8 years ago out of necessity. I know that’s an odd thing to say, but my building was replacing the windows and when the blinds came down, I loved the light in my apartment. However, a first-floor urban apartment requires some kind of window treatment.

After rejecting countless options – I settled on painted plexiglass panels - like stained glass. The first ones didn’t quite live up to my imagination, but they worked well and were fun to make.

That led to years of fun and experimenting with new techniques and finding my voice in abstract art. And many, many paintings on the walls.

In Spring 2025, I decided I was tired of keeping my art confined to the walls. So, I made a t-shirt, then another, then a pillow. I also knew that when I searched online, I looked for bright and colorful patterns. (Don’t worry, I’ve been painting some darker and more neutral paintings for those who prefer a more subdued palette.) The final step was launching this web site.
